It’s common knowledge that gospel singer Willy Paul looks up to Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz for inspiration. Let me phrase that – he tries so hard to be like the Bongo star.
During a previous interview, Paul whose new single ‘Fanya’ is currently ruling the airwaves, admitted that he ‘stole’ Diamond’s song ‘Mbagala’ and turned it into a gospel song due to lack of money.
Soon after releasing his new song ‘Take It Slow’, a track that features Sauti Sol, a clip was shared online comparing the glaring similarities between the song and Diamond’s ‘Zigo’, Mpasho reports.
One listen to the two songs, and you’ll notice that indeed the two songs are similar. Aside from the beats the choreography is almost a carbon copy of the other. One would actually think the latter is a remix to Diamond’s tune.
Now, Willy Pozee as he likes to call himself, is again being accused of stealing from the ‘Salome’ hitmaker. But he didn’t try to hide anything this time around, he went full throttle.
A few days ago, Willy Paul shared a photo on his social media pages and it did not take long before hawk eyed fans noticed that he was clad in the exact same outfit as Diamond Platnumz – Hmmm, not exactly. Let’s just say a cheaper version of it.
Here is Diamond’s outfit…
