Radio Africa Group’s Caroline Mutoko might have touched the wrong button after she fiercely attacked Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho in her new video.
In the clip, Mutoko who is a former presenter at Kiss 100, lashed out at the ODM Governor for having a wrong strategy of marketing Mombasa and playing too much politics.
“I worry that for the smart person Governor Joho is, he does not have the right structural blueprint to turn Mombasa into what it needs to be,” the former radio queen said.
Mutoko reckons there is no value gotten from Pop/R&B superstar Chris Brown’s recent tour in the coastal city courtesy of Joho and other organisers.
She faulted the move comparing it to the visit by other international artists like Trey Songz whose tour was meant to market the country to the world.
Mutoko went on to add that Joho was playing too much politics yet it was time for him to fold his sleeves and work for his people.
“Governor Joho has allowed politics to rob him of the ability to turn Mombasa into what it can be. And the reason why that can’t be is because tourism by large is something that is run by central government. And because he has allowed politics to play into that we have not even had one large conference in Mombasa.”
“Governor Joho you need to understand politics is for the first nine months, the rest of the time we do work. You have to work with the Central Government to accomplish it? You do it!” Mutoko advised the flambo politician.
Scheduled to visit Mombasa thanks to Joho’s antics are other huge international artists including American rapper Nicky Minaj.
