Belly is prepping his new mixtape going by the title Inzombia which also houses his new release ‘Consuela’ where he declares his love for a Venezuelan beauty [released on Wednesday].
He has now changed the tone with the darker ‘Re Up’, borrowing a word mostly used to describe a drug dealer beefing up his supplies, as he looks into his own personal problems with addiction.
In tow is the fast-rising singer/producer Nav. The latter manages to deliver a solid verse about his rapidly escalating dependence on drugs, all thanks to his newfound success.
Belly’s lines, as simple as they may be, are quite forceful on the message being delivered: Case in point: “Bags under my eyes cause I go hard / Probably cost more than the Goyard.”
In high school I never made the honor roll
Popping mollys I’ve been on a roll
Hope the highway doesn’t take a tollyea
Smoking blunts burning sheet in the Rolls
