Legendary footballer Joe Kadenge will soon have one of his dying wishes fulfilled days after sharing them with the public.

Kadenge who is on his death bed, made an appeal a few days ago, saying he would wish to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta as well as former Heads of State Daniel Moi and Mwai Kibaki before he gives up his ghost.

Through a clip that was shared widely on social media, Kadenge who holds the record for the fastest goal in Kenya’s footballing history, said he was dying and would meet his maker a very happy man, should his desires to meet the three senior countrymen be fulfilled.

“I would like to meet you before I die,” he told Uhuru. Adding: “It seems my body doesn’t like me anymore and these are the people I would like to meet. The old men, I would like to say goodbye to them so that if God calls me today, I will have an opportunity to say good bye to them,” Kadenge.

It has now emerged that Uhuru has agreed to meet the former footballer to fulfill the latter’s dying wishes.

Officials from the Ministry of Sports and Culture who gave Kadenge a visit at his home on Thursday, January 5, promised that Uhuru will soon see him according to his wishes as had been reported by Nairobi News.

Joe Okudo from the ministry confirmed during the visit that indeed President Kenyatta will have one of Kadenge’s bucket list items struck off.
