The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders are outraged after the government withdrew security detail of vocal Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi.

It has been reported that the security detail of the two Governors were withdrawn, presumably because they attacked President Uhuru Kenyatta over various projects that he has launched during his tour at the Coast.

Joho made headlines this past week after he publicly gave President Uhuru a dressing down. A video of him went viral in which he criticised the government for relaunching old projects at the coast. All the while as the Head of State looked on some feet away.

Now, leaders allied to the ODM party in the area have issued a two day ultimatum to the Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery to make amends and reinstate the security detail of the two leaders failure to which they will take unspecified action.
