Kenyans on the other hand did what they do best, they took to the social media and more preferably Twitter to pour their frustrations.

“Power outage hits Nairobi, Mount Kenya and Coast regions after technical hitch at Kenya Power’s Ndenderu substation,” @CitizenTVKenya reported.

Others thought it was a good idea to lighten up the moment with a joke. “I climbed up the power cables to restore power on my own. Kenya power, this blackout is nagging to everyone,” @Frank_Wanga captioned the photo below.

Power Twitter user @C_NyaKundiHKenya told Kenyans that Kenya Power was there to remind everyone that Kenya is still a third world country.

“Kenya Power there is no power in Nyahururu is it a national blackout?” @fundi_jack wondered. And yes it is Jack Fundi.
