Ruth Odinga, sister to the Opposition leader Raila Odinga, now says that his political rival – Kisumu governor, is scheming to displace her.

She says Jack Ranguma allegedly divided her boardroom so as to bring in his political advisors.

Ruth claims they the move by Ranguma to reduce her office space is an attempt to try to undermine her authority.

“Why else would he turn my boardroom into two offices to accommodate his political advisors Phillip Obiero and Grace Jobita?” the Star newspaper quoted Ms Odinga.

It was however revealed by a section of the media who visited the office in Kisumu that there were no indications that the boardroom was tampered with as far as floor space was concerned.

Attempts to verify the same proved futile as the offices remained locked.

County director of administration Titus Omanyi has since denied the office subdivision claims by Ruth Odinga but noted the increased number of county officers.

He said there was need for the subdivision of new and old offices in the building.
