Simon Lilan who made headlines last week after filing a case in court to stop former nominated MP Mark Too’s burial, is missing.
The family of the lawyer who is also related to the late Kanu bigwig, said he was last seen in Eldoret town on Monday, January 9.
Lilan sensationally claimed that the postmortem report on Too’s body did not tell the whole story of how and why he died. He said Too did not die of heart problems as had been reported but was a victim of assassination.
He said the late politician who was popularly known as Bwana Dawa due to the role he played during former President Daniel Moi’s era, was killed for political reasons as well as his vast wealth.
Mark Too was however buried on Monday at his Eldoret home even after Lilan was granted orders to bar the burial. He however threatened to exhume the body if samples were not collected from the body to allow for an independent probe and if he (Too) is no buried at first wife’s farm.
The lawyer had also claimed that one of Too’s wives’ life was in danger as some unknown people had threatened to to kill her.
