I haven’t passed through town today, yet, but I can guess with Rolex precision that it’s painted red.

It’s Valentine’s Day everyone, a day for all those non-singles to make the solo ones to not want to leave the house. Be forewarned if you’re single or you recently broke up with your loved one, find an alternative route home, just avoid town like the plague.

For one renown gospel singer, he whose specialty is Kamba songs, he will have to watch as everyone else couple up, but it’s not because he has not significant other but because of circumstances.

Mbuvi_singerThe artiste who was once linked to the gorgeous Kambua, before she was plucked from his life by Pastor Jackson Mathu who is now the husband, will spend his Valentine solo.

But why? you ask… Well, the Kwata Kawire hitmaker isn’t single, not at all. He already has someone post-Kambua but something has come in the way, at least for today.

Mbuvi explained the circumstances:

“No I am not available. I am actually dating someone, but we have agreed to keep it on the down low. Unfortunately this Valentines I am working, I’ll be making a celebrity appearance at the after 40 hotel in town so I can’t take my baby along.”

Isn’t it hard dating a celeb? The relationship comes with its restrictions, while us regular people flaunt our bae’s with not so much to grapple with, public figures have to think twice.

Exposing your partner to drama that comes with publicity and constant attention from fans, usually causes strains in the relationship.

Ok, not all celebs mind parading their better halves, some even make them part of their brand, But let’s face it, if something happens and they call it quits, the fall will be twice harder.

Other celebs prefer to not to go public with their relationships and for Mbuvi he has chosen to keep things private.

He said:

“The dine with the star campaign that I am headlining will have a lot of media attention so I can’t come with my girlfriend. I guess this Valentine I will have to fly solo.”
