A number of former Churchill Show comedians have come together to launch a new comedy show whose first episode is scheduled for Sunday, February 26 on KBC Channel 1.

Dubbed Comedy Arena, the directors of the show said they will give Churchill a run for his money as they also seek to return the ‘forgotten’ national broadcaster back to its former glory.

The show will feature comedians who were groomed by Churchill on his popular show. They include; Kreative Generation, that’s the duo that comprises of the clowny Mutumishi and his partner in crime Mchungaji, Fred Omondi who was once a regular on the show and the green suited Othoul.

But it remains to be seen whether the show will be turn out to be successful as the its creators claim as other comedians who left Daniel Ndambuki to start out their own television shows failed rather miserably.

Some of the comedians who jumped the gun include; Eric Omondi who launched a satire show dubbed Hawayuni on KTN. It turned out to be a total embarrassment to say the list.

Others are Teacher Wanjiku and Sleepy David. The former only managed less than three episodes.
