Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has broken his awkward silence with sensational claims against a National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, saying he is the reason for the various crisis facing the country.

While speaking at Gathoge training centre in Gichugu constituency, the outspoken Jubilee Party legislator said Raila Odinga was the reason the country was facing so many problems.

He noted that once Raila left for abroad, things began looking up for the country.

“How come that good things happen only when this man (Raila) is out of the Country. Last week the President came to parliament and addressed us without the usual whistleblowers and hecklers, the prolonged lectures strike was ended. The rains have started in some places,” Kuria noted.

The vocal and oft controversial MP was citing Raila’s trip to South Africa where he had gone to visit his daughter Rosemary Odinga who is recuperating from a brain surgery. The former premier is touted as one who will face off with President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August-scheduled elections.

After spending time in South Africa, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader flew to the USA and is expected to jet back in the country later this week.

But Kuria’s vitriol didn’t wasn’t aimed at Raila alone, he also had a few words for Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.  He claimed the ODM deputy leader intended to benefit from Coast residents by selling them drugs following last week’s drama with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
