The late popular comedian Emmanuel Makori Nyambane aka Ayeiya or AKA, was finally laid to rest at his parent’s home in Kisii county on Friday, April 21.
Ayeiya died on Good Friday, in an early morning crash at Magadi road as he drove home in the company of his wife Alice Njoki, fellow comedian Paul Ogutu ‘Wakimani’, and an actor friend.
He lost control of his vehicle and hit a concrete pole near the Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA) intersection on the way to Ongata Rongai.
A funeral service to celebrate his life was held earlier in the week at NPC Karen, where he was remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family to death.
On Thursday, April 20, the Churchill Show fraternity, including renown comedians who have since left the show, held a special recording at the Carnivore Gardens.
The team led by Daniel Ndambuki, decided to contribute all the proceeds from the tribute show to Ayeiya’s young family.
The comic left behind a young daughter named Tamara.
