Nick Odhiambo quits Classic FM for Radio Maisha

To replace Jalas?

After a key presenter was poached from Radio Maisha recently, the Standard Group-owned radio station has reportedly found his replacement from a rival station.

If you have been living under a rock or worse, Jalang’o left the station for Hot 96 FM which is owned by the Royal Media Services.

And now, Longtime radio host at Classic FM – Nick Odhiambo – is reportedly moving to Radio Maisha after parting ways with the Radio Africa Group.

Odhiambo who is known for the catchy professor Bamba adverts, has been with Radio Africa for the past decade.

He has recently announced the end of his run at Classic 105 via a post on social media noting it has been ten years and some months since he came on board:

“10 years and 6 months is a really long time. Today is our last #LarryNickandFriends show!” Odhiambo said on his social media pages.

The rumour that he will be replacing the King of Radio┬áJalang’o [he was recently crowned the most popular radio host] at Radio Maisha was given credence by the fact that Alex Mwakideu is yet to be furnished with a co-host.

Jalang’o is already at Hot 96 and is currently co-hosting the morning show with veteran journalist Jeff Koinange.
