The National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga, has personally sent an invite to Kenyans to attend a mega rally in Nakuru scheduled for Sunday, May 14 starting midday.
The rally will be the first since the former premier was named the alliance’s presidential candidate and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka his deputy at a historic event in Uhuru Park on Thursday, April 27, 2017.
Through a lengthy Facebook post, Raila asked Kenyans from all over and more so within Nakuru county, to turn up in their numbers and witness what he termed as a game-changing event.
“NASA takes the Sunday rally as a major event and a game changer in the elections scheduled for August. The Afraha rally will herald a wind of change that will shape the race all the way to August.” he said.
“The rally will herald a loss of grip on the Rift Valley by Jubilee and dispel the illusion and notion created so far that Rift Valley is impenetrably Jubilee.” He added.
According to Raila, their first rally as a full Nasa outfit will go a long way in giving a new direction for the country.
The Orange Party leader who has been away in Israel for the past one week on official duties, said he will be back in the country on Saturday, May 13, noting that all Nasa Pentagon members including his running mate Musyoka, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi and CCM leader Isaac Ruto will attend the rally.
He also noted that the rally will be held at the Afraha Grounds, outside the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru Town.
