The Wiper Democratic Movement-Kenya (WDM-K) party has condemned in strongest terms, remarks made by Kitui West Member of Parliament Fracis Nyenze this past weekend, when he publicly endorsed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s reelection.

Through a statement released by the party which is headed by the National Super Alliance (NASA) second in command Kalonzo Musyoka, it disassociated itself from the utterances by Nyenze saying they were contrary to the stand of the party.

“Nyenze…is quite aware of the consequences of campaigning for a rival party. WDM-K will no doubt be seeking a clarification from him as to whether he has shifted his allegiance from our party…after which we will chart the way forward,” reads part of the statement.

The outfit’s executive director Jared Maaka further went to make it clear that the constituency and Ukambani in general are a NASA zone.

“…. for Jubilee to even imagine it can make a significant impact in vote hunting from the region is an exercise in futility.” Maaka noted.

Nyenze is defending his Kitui West parliamentary seat on a Wiper ticket after winning in the party nominations but on Friday, June 9, asked residents to vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta during an event where Gender CS Sicily Kariuki was launching an NYS project.

”Whoever has eyes needs not be told to see the development President Uhuru has done, my people elect this man for his outstanding development,” Nyenze told the crowd.
