A 50-year-old man from Kisumu County has shocked residents after selling his two acre piece of land so as to raise funds to support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election bid.

Michael Odongo sold each acre at KSh 100,000 but his target is KSh 300,000 which he will donate to the Head of State.

He said Uhuru saved him from life imprisonment in 2001 when serving time at Nakuru Main Prison for robbery with violence.

The story becomes even interesting considering the region is the National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s backyard and votes him almost to the person.

This is happening just days after a similar incident in Meru county, where an elderly man shocked residents after vowing to sell land to support Uhuru’s campaign.
