She calls herself Kenya’s Richest Musician, and by the look of things, Esther Akoth or Akothee as she is popularly known, might just might be.
The singer who has been chucking nothing but hits since the spotlight first shone on her a few years ago, is also undoubtedly the most controversial female artiste in the country especially because of her outspokenness.
Speaking of hits, Akothee is a text book example of a hitmaker, what with a stream of popular tunes that also bring on board some of the biggest names in the region including Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz on ‘Sweet Love’ and Nigeria’s Flavour whom she featured on ‘Give It To Me’.
Apart from supplying constant upbeat tracks, Akothee has also become a social media influencer where she lays bare her lavish lifestyle for all to see.
And being outspoken as she is, Akothee has ruffled her fans’ feathers many a times but has toned down on the shenanigans of late. She has changed from a very hated (read secretly admired) personality to one issuing life’s advice to her hundreds of thousands of fans.
During her usual social media escapades this past weekend, the ‘Benefactor’ singer finally introduced his boyfriend to her fans and her non fans as well.
Perhaps she thought the move would give her relief and breathing space as people have refused to get off her back, in as far as the topic at hand is concerned.
Akothee used her Facebook account on Sunday, June 18 2017, during Fathers’ Day, to introduced her ageing boyfriend in the most romantic way there is.
The singer endlessly gushed over her grandfather as she celebrated the day when the whole world celebrates all the dads out there.
”My boyfriend is doing well too, though not soo ✔I asked him how old he is , he told me some stories with no tail nor head so I told him” grandpa you aint old , its the sun , you are actually the age of my Fiancee & he is energetic with six pac , he laughed . HAPPY FATHERS DAY MY HEROS ,” she captioned the photo above.
Yes, Akothee introduced her grand dad to her fans as her boyfriend, which I must say is quite befitting and adorable. And funny as hell too..
