Zari Hassan mum’s burial in Uganda [PHOTOS/VIDEO]

The Ugandan socialite's mum died on Thursday after spending three weeks in the ICU over heart complications.

The mother to Ugandan socialite, Zari Hassan, was laid to rest on Friday, July 21, just hours after her death which is according to the Islamic traditions.

Halima Hassan, 58, was buried in Munyonyo, Kampala and as had reported earlier, had been admitted at a Kamplala hospital for the past three weeks where she receiving treatment for heart failure, but sadly died on the morning of Thursday, July 20.

The Ugandan socialite who is also top Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz’ wife, is still mourning the death of her ex husband and father to ther three sons, Ivan Ssemwanga, who passed on a few months ago.

Diamond’s wife eulogised her mother as the family’s ‘Old Sun’ who will be forever missed.

Friends and relatives gathered at Zari’s Uganda home after she flew into the country from South Africa for the burial. Her children, including the two he has with Diamond are based there.

Diamond Platnumz also attended the funeral and was in the company of his mother. They flew into Uganda to be with Zari and her family.

Zari has two lesser known siblings, a brother and a sister who are both younger than her.

Immediately after the burial, Zari had to rush back to South Africa because her youngest child, Prince Nillan, had fallen sick and had been admitted to hospital.
