Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho was recently host to two of the biggest stars in the region; controversial gospel singer Willy Paul and his humbler version, Tanzanian crooner Ali Kiba.
Joho who is tipped to win a second term in the gubernatorial race when Kenyans go to the General Election tomorrow (August 8), treated the two popular musicians in Mombasa, where they were introduced to real flamboyance, a lifestyle that is synonymous with the wealthy county boss.
Willy Paul and Ali Kiba were in Mombasa to perform in a string of Nasa rallies in the area which culminated in the coalition flagbearer Raila Odinga’s last campaign visit to the Coast on Friday.
The two stars were given first class treatment during their short stay in the historic own.
They were booked in five star hotels, rode in luxury yachts as well as enjoying business class flights to and fro the city. Willy Paul and Ali Kiba indeed had the fun of their lives.
Joho and Willy Paul then flew together to Nairobi where the former attended Nasa’s final rally held at Uhuru Park on Saturday.
Known by his monikers Sultan and Governor 001, Joho is facing off with his long time nemesis Hassan Omar (Wiper) and Jubilee’s Suleiman Shahbal.
