Renown media personality Jimmy Gathu will soon be launching a new television station in the country.
Gathu who has since transitioned from TV to radio, along with his four partners, applied for a broadcast license on Friday, October 6, according to a gazette notice.
The upcoming television station by the name Nai TV, will be run by Jimmygathu Incorporated Limited meaning that indeed Gathu is the main force behind it. Needless to say.
According to the aforementioned notice, Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) Director General Francis Wangusi, the licences, if granted, will allow the applicants to run their broadcast stations in the Kenya.
As required by law, the CA honcho asked the public to contact the authority within 30 days if they have any objections to the awarding of the mandatory licences to Gathu an company.
