Cop dead, 15 nursing injuries after vehicle rolls in Mandera

A police officer lost his life and 15 others were injured when their armoured vehicle rolled along Elwak- Kutulo road in Mandera county.

Zipo.co.ke has learnt that the accident happened after its driver lost control during heavy rains yesterday afternoon.

Those injured were ferried to various hospitals where they continue to receive treatment.

Just recently, On August the 3rd, terrorists killed a police officer and seriously injured another in simultaneous attacks on two police camps in Lafey in the same county that borders Somalia.

The militants also destroyed four police cars and a telecommunications must as they wrecked havoc in Mandera which borders the war torn Horn of Africa.

In July 2016, deaths and injuries were reported when suspected al Shabaab militants sprayed two buses with bullets between Wargadud and Elwak in Mandera.
