American award-winning R&B singer Mya (born Mýa Marie Harrison) landed at the JKIA on Wednesday, August 10, ahead of a Nairobi grand concert The Plot set to go down on Saturday, August 13, at Ngong Race Course.
The ‘Case of the Ex’ singer, 36, who made quite some waves back in the late 90s and early 2000s was received at the airport by a team of organisers from Property Reality Company (PRC), together with his co-performer Ginuwine, also a renowned R&B crooner.
According to a report by Tuko, the two posed briefly for the media before heading out to their hotels escorted by police.
The concert will also see another R&B heavyweight – the group 112 – who will also headline the show. The quartet that’s responsible for a number of chart-bursting releases including the songs ‘Peaches and Cream’ and ‘Dance With Me’ among others, will be jetting in this evening.
Make sure to catch Jeff Koinange as he hosts Mya on his popular Jeff Koinange Live show – or the bench if you like – on KTN on Thursday at 10pm.
The Plot, which is also sponsored by Airtel will likely be one of the biggest concerts in the country in 2016, with over 2000 advance tickets sold to music lovers already.
