The monstrous car Gukena FM’s Njogu Wa Njoroge drives [PHOTO]

There’s a section of media celebrities that is not known by the majority of people, but thanks to its lucrativeness, it has started to attract attention like never before, making its players known.

It is the ever-expanding vernacular market that has lately been attracting investments from corporates and more so media houses that want to spread its wings far and beyond.

Just recently, Radio Africa added to its already impressive list of radio stations, a television channel, and a daily newspaper. It introduced a Kikuyu radio station to rival the more established Inooro and Kameme FM.

And to create a lasting first time experience, Radio Gukena poached a familiar name in the Kikuyu vernacular world, he is known as Njogu Wa Njoroge, a name that has become a brand in itself.

Of course we assume RAG coughed some huge sums of money to buy the talent. Our focus today however, is on a tiny but important aspect of his life, furthermore he is a celebrity isn’t he not?

Now, if your voice is recognised by folks in the city to villagers living at the foot of Mt. Kenya, and you pocket a monthly salary that reads like a telephone number, it’s only fair that you drive a matching car.

That said, we shall skip what Njoroge actually makes because we can only speculate about it, and go straight to what the king of Kikuyu vernacular radio drives. It must be one of many I assume.
