Sexy KTN news anchor Betty Kyallo this past Saturday, March 18, 2017, and her family laid to rest her grandmother, Beatrice Mutei in Kambaland.
The late was 101 years old and the news presenter is named after her.
Her granny was laid to rest in Ukambani even as the family described the ceremony as a celebration and not just a send off.
“I’m named after this sweet old lady, Betty Kinanda (Kinanda is the musical instrument known as an accordion because of our love for good music ?),” said Betty. Adding, “She is wise and funny. Oh and she’s 101 years! God.”
Also in attendance was Betty’s elder brother, Brian Kyallo, who also took to the social media to post about their loss. He said the family cherished the burial ceremony.
“Laid to rest the great matriarch of the Kang’ulyu family. Our granny, cucu Beatrice Mutei ‘Kinanda’, was 101 years. This was a true celebration of life … an event we as family cherished. On my right is my pops, Major Kyallo,” he said.
“Thanks good people .. Tulipoa. But this was truly a celebration. 101 is the kind of life anyone wishes for.”
