One of Kenya’s oldest “modern” Christian-based television shows, Kubamba TV, is known for having produced quite a number of faces and respected personalities like DJ Moz, Joyce Omondi, Enid Moraa and even Kambua.
Oh, DJs Soxxy and Johnnie Celeb were also part of the show before branching out for a gig with K24.
But as they say, all good things must come to an end. This past Sunday, the show came to a surprising end. An abrupt finale that no one saw coming except the crew of course.
The Kubamba TV has graced our screens via Citizen TV every Sunday for a minute now. Soon after last Sunday show, the guy who created it, DJ Moz, shocked fans with the announcement that the show won’t be back this coming Sunday, or any other Sunday!
“I just want to say thank you for being part of Kubamba on Citizen TV for the last 7 years. It has been fantastic and an amazing journey.” he said via a social media post.
Adding: “This part of our journey on citizen tv comes to an end, today (sunday march 26) but our relationship with citizen tv, hopefully doesn’t come to an end. We will absolutely miss each one of our amazing viewrs. We look forward to what god has in store for us as such a time as this…thank you so much. See you and onto the next one, au sio? Peace!”
The creative deejay however teased a new project adding that, “God is good and He has been our Ebenezer. I am excited for what God has in store for us next. #kultureoftheunashamed #RepresentingChristJesusToTheFullest Romans 1:16.”
The announcement as I mentioned came as a shocker to its thousands of followers including celebrities. They came out to offer word of encouragement to the popular TV host. Below is a sample of what they said:
