The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s wife, Ida Odinga, has shared her thoughts with Kenyans regarding the General Election which is scheduled for August polls.

Ida or Mama Ida as she is popularly known, recently spoke publicly, something she rarely does despite her husband being one of the most visible figures in the country, promising Kenyans that she will be their First Lady when the country goes to the polls in August.

Ida was addressing attendees of a meeting at Kilimani primary on Saturday, June 10, where she exuded confidence of the Opposition carrying the day in the looming elections.

“The will on the Kenyan people is unstoppable and I am sure I will serve you as First Lady. I know what the country is undergoing and I will not let you down.

She went on to add that it has been a long struggle but finally the country will go to the right side “from which we shall define our destiny as a country.”

Raila is chasing the presidency for the fourth time, after unsuccessfully vying thrice before but insists he won in 2007 and 2013 although he was rigged out.

The Nasa brigade continue to sell their agenda for the country and are touring various parts of the nation to consolidate their support ahead of the high stakes poll.

While Ida was championing the woman agenda in Nairobi, her husband Raila was touring the neighbouring Ukambani together with the other Nasa leaders.
