A top Kenyan comedian has come out to defend himself after photos showing him totally hammered were shared immensely on social media.
Eric Omondi who is without a doubt one of the funniest guys to have graced the country’s comedy scene, reportedly attended Tekno Miles’ concert on Saturday, September 9 at the Ngong Racecourse Waterfront, and drunk himself silly.
A video of the comedian was uploaded by one of his close pals (whom I think should stop being after last weekend) on social media, and the guy looked really high. Like really really high. The joke was on him that day.
But speaking to Mpasho recently, the YouTube star denied the claims saying he never attended the show, leave alone getting drunk there.
However, some sources who were at the concert have come out to say that indeed Erico was there. Some have even described his outfit on that eventful night in great detail.
And that is exactly what I think is wrong with Kenya. Which includes our politics and other things that need questioning.
It is not in question whether the guy in the video or the photos that were circulated widely was the comedian, right? So why is it an issue whether he went to the concert or not? Was it him that was drunk in the photos? This is where he then explains where the party was at. Simple.
Eric is still a great comedian though. And also has the right to let loose once in a while. Bora sio madawa.
