Whoever invented social media should have attached a warning against bad-mouthing, especially after this week’s endless stories about Dennis Oliech’s alleged current state of affairs, what with all the ‘grace to grass’ stories that has been trending for days.
A few days ago, as reported by Zipo.co.ke, the social media was abuzz with all manner of criticism meted against the ex Harambee Stars captain after very disturbing photo of him emerged online.
Oliech, who was once the highest paid footballer in the country, showed up at Koroga Festival this past weekend, he looked old and emaciated to say the least.
The photo of the sickly-looking former star who made a fortune while playing in Europe and his former coach Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee, was shared widely on social media and many were convinced that the former Stars skipper was at his lowest, that he is totally broke.
Then came news that the talented footballer has been named the official Bunson Travel 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Ambassador, a deal that will leave many of is haters even more envious.
The pocket-filling deal was sealed a couple of days before the controversial photo hit the web.
”Its official @oliechdennis has come on board as our 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia Ambassador Welcome to #BunsonTravel family Dennis #TwendeRussia #bunsonsafari #cwtkenya #football #kenya #russia #travelexperts” Bunson Travel said on its social media pages.
