It is Monday, October 16 and the start of week four of the National Super Alliance demos which have been ordered by the coalition’s boss Raila Odinga.
The countrywide protests have persisted in the Opposition strongholds and the capital Nairobi as Nasa supporters take to the streets to push for a raft of changes to be implemented by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
The coalition’s presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka have announced their withdrawal from the October 26 race but the poll body has termed their declaration a bluff because the duo is yet to sign Form 24A which is mandatory for candidates wishing to pull out of the race.
The protests have been not without drama as a section of protesters have been accused of turning what the Opposition is insists to be peaceful demos, into looting sprees and opportunity to cause chaos.
On Friday, October 13, three supporters were shot dead by police officers in Kisumu county with the State coming out to defend the action saying the youths attempted to attack a police station.
Well, a Facebooker by the username Aalico Ohodha is taking matters into his own hands. He has gone viral online after posting a picture with what looks like a loaded and ready to go AK 47.
