Daddy Owen reveals the one weird thing for marriage to work

Thank God for the invention of social media, the platform has made it possible for fans to to have a glimpse at their favourite stars’ private lives. Of course this doesn’t apply to the socialites (men and women) on Nairobi Diaries whose lives have already been laid bare.

And just like the above mentioned, there is a group of real celebs that have gone an extra mile to put their lives out there for public scrutiny, by shooting their own reality shows. Size 8 and DJ Mo is good example and are already building a cult-like following thanks to their weekly dose of YouTube clips on The Murayas channel.

But there are those that wouldn’t do the same for a million dollars, case in point Daddy Owen who has ruled out the idea of having cameras trail him and his family. He says he values his privacy and would do anything to protect it.

“I don’t advocate for reality shows because for me, my life already is in the limelight. I feel the only thing left for me is my personal life, so if I take it away, I am left with nothing. I want to go home and lock the world out.” The celebrated gospel star said.

Adding:

“Marriage is good. Me and my wife had dated for a long time. The only thing is that we took it to another level. She is my best friend and knows my weaknesses and my strengths.” He noted.

The ‘Tazama’ star added that men lie out there about how they’re in charge at home.

“The biggest lesson I have learnt in marriage is the house is not yours. I thought a man is the head of the house but everything has changed from curtains to everything, you know, I have no say. Another thing is that men usually lie out here. I will tell you this, for a marriage to work lazima mwanaume akaliwe. If you don’t give the woman space to be, nothing will work. You have to listen to her intuition. She will have a perspective that will help you make good decisions. That is what I mean by kukaliwa.” He said.
