Kenyan international Clarke Oduor watched from the bench as his team Bradford City achieved an impressive win in a League Two match. Despite being an unused substitute again, Bradford City celebrated a strong 3-1 victory against Doncaster in their Friday night English League Two encounter.
Oduor, a midfielder for the Harambee Stars, has not been featured in the last two games, during which Bradford City has been on a winning streak, now marking four consecutive victories in League Two.
The match started with City trailing but soon turned around with two goals from Andy Cook and one from Tyler Smith, under the guidance of manager Graham Alexander. City’s performance was notable, despite a controversial moment when a penalty claim for Tyler Smith was dismissed by the referee.
The home team initially capitalized on a defensive mishap, leading to Joe Ironside scoring for Doncaster. However, Bradford City responded with resilience, equalizing through Andy Cook and taking a 2-1 lead into half-time thanks to Tyler Smith’s brilliant effort.
In the second half, Bradford City continued to dominate, narrowly missing a third goal. Despite Doncaster’s efforts to equalize, City’s defense, particularly Ciarán Kelly’s crucial intervention, kept them at bay.
Bradford City confirmed their victory with another goal from Cook, concluding a well-coordinated team effort. The win was celebrated by over 2,800 Bradford City fans, who were delighted with the team’s performance.
Manager Graham Alexander praised his team’s response to the early setback, highlighting their resilience and adaptability in a challenging derby match.
Clarke Oduor’s absence from the field continued, with his last game appearance dating back to a Football League Trophy clash against Liverpool U-21 on December 5. Since then, he has been sidelined, including in their previous league game against Gillingham.
