Record FKFPL champions Gor Mahia will begin their campaign to defend their league title against FC Talanta on Sunday, August 25, just a day after the 2024/25 season officially kicks off.
Gor Mahia, who secured their 21st league title last season, will enter the new season with the goal of further cementing their dominance.
As per the fixtures released by the league’s governing body, the season will start on August 24, with five matches scheduled for that day. Mathare United will take on AFC Leopards at the Dandora Stadium, while FKF Cup holders Kenya Police will host Nairobi City Stars at the Police Sacco Stadium.
In other matches, Tusker will clash with Sofapaka at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, and Posta Rangers will face Bandari at the same venue.
Ulinzi Stars, eager to improve on last season’s performance, will go up against Murang’a Seal in their opening match at the Ulinzi Sports Complex on Sunday. Bidco United will host newly-promoted Shabana at the Thika Stadium, while Mara Sugar will face Kakamega Homeboyz at the Awendo Green Stadium in Machakos.
