The forward from Gor Mahia is on the brink of completing a significant move to a leading Danish soccer club. Rogers Mugisha, the Ugandan international and Gor Mahia striker, is nearing a deal with AC Horsens, a club in Denmark’s second division.

At just 20 years old, Mugisha has been a standout player in the 2023/2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) season, attracting attention from European talent scouts with his impressive performances.

Mugisha, who has had a remarkable first half of the season with Gor Mahia, is now in the advanced stages of negotiations for a full transfer.

“Gor Mahia’s Rogers Mugisha will be moving to Denmark to play very soon, and we are in the process of finalizing that transfer,” stated Gor Mahia’s coach, Johnathan McKinstry.

Mugisha’s path to this significant moment in his career has been extraordinary. As a crucial member of Uganda’s U-20 team, he excelled at the 2023 U20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt. His exceptional play not only secured him a place in the team of the tournament’s group stage but also earned him the Man of the Match title following Uganda’s 2-1 win over the Central African Republic.

Despite Uganda being narrowly defeated 1-0 by Nigeria, Mugisha’s standout performance made a lasting impression, leading to his selection for the Uganda Cranes senior team.

His rise continued with his inclusion in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tanzania in March, where he further established himself as a powerful presence on the field.
