Earlier in the game, Petar Musa marked his Dallas debut by scoring with a right-footed strike towards the end of the first half, balancing the score after Jules-Anthony Vilsaint had initially given Montreal the lead in the 20th minute.
Montreal faces a challenging schedule, with their next game against Miami on March 10, part of a series of six consecutive away games to kick off the season.
