The National Super Alliance deputy leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, for a second time, failed to jet into the country after his party said he would land on Monday evening.
The Wiper Party honcho has been away for two months tending to his ailing wife Pauline in Germany, amid speculation that he had ditched the Opposition in favour of Jubilee party.
Mr Musyoka was forced to come out and kill the rumours that Pauline who is receiving specialised treatment in the European country, had passed on saying she was still alive albeit still ailing.
Kalonzo was expected to jet back on Saturday just in time for the People’s Assembly meeting gathering that was chaired by Opposition leader Raila Odinga and graced by co-pricipals Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula.
An official statement by the Wiper Party said Mr Musyoka opted to stay with his wife who was changing clinics adding that he would be in the country on Tuesday (today) to attend his late ally Francis Nyenze’s burial.
Zipo.co.ke, has now established that the former Raila Odinga’s running mate in the last election may not attend the burial after all because he reportedly missed his flight.
Nyenze passed away on Wednesday, December 6, while receiving treatment for colon cancer at the Nairobi Hospital.
The Wiper parliamentarian served as leader of minority in the previous parliament and was a strong defender of the former vice president in the run up to the August poll with the insistence that Mr Musyoka must carry the Nasa flag.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga are expected to cross paths at the burial as they pay their last respect to the former Minister.
