Empoli will be missing several important players for their upcoming match, including starting defender Ebuehi, key attacking midfielder Zurkowski, and recent signings De Sciglio and Anjorin.

Additionally, substitutes Perisan and Belardinelli are unavailable. However, they will welcome back midfielder Grassi, who returns from suspension. Coach D’Aversa will also be absent due to suspension.

Striker Colombo, who contributed a goal and an assist, played a key role in last weekend’s win over Roma, with Gyasi also scoring.

Empoli’s offseason saw the departure of key defenders Walukiewicz (to Torino) and Luperto (to Cagliari). Additionally, attackers Niang, Caputo, Destro, and goalkeeper Berisha were released following the expiration of their contracts.

In terms of reinforcements, Empoli signed goalkeeper Brancolini (from Lecce) and playmaker Anjorin (from Chelsea), along with De Sciglio (Juventus), Sambia (Salernitana), Sazonov (Torino), Vasquez (AC Milan), Viti (Nice), Solbakken (Roma), Esposito (Inter), and Colombo (AC Milan) on loan.

Juventus will also be missing several players, including new signing Thuram, Weah, young prospect Adzic, and backup striker Milik, all due to injury.

Midfielder Pogba remains suspended. Vlahovic, who scored twice in Juventus’ previous match, will lead the attack, supported by Turkish international Yildiz, who has already provided two assists in Serie A this season.

Juventus underwent significant changes over the summer, with high-profile exits like Chiesa (to Liverpool), Szczesny (retired), and Rabiot (free agent).

Other notable departures include Soulé (Roma), Djalo (Porto), Huijsen (Bournemouth), Iling-Junior (Aston Villa), Kean (Fiorentina), Barrenechea (Aston Villa), De Winter (Genoa), Kaio Jorge (Cruzeiro), Alex Sandro (Flamengo), Miretti (Genoa), and De Sciglio (Empoli).

To strengthen their squad, Juventus brought in several new signings, including goalkeeper Di Gregorio (from Monza), defenders Cabal (Hellas Verona) and Kalulu (AC Milan), midfielders Koopmeiners (Atalanta) and Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa), Thuram (Nice), and forwards Nico Gonzalez (Fiorentina) and Francisco Conceição (Porto).

Prediction

Empoli’s last 19 home matches in Serie A have seen 14 of them end with fewer than 2.5 goals, including their last four consecutive games.

Juventus has followed a similar pattern, with 13 of their last 16 away games also featuring under 2.5 goals. Based on these trends, a low-scoring match is anticipated.

Prediction: Empoli 0 : 1 Juventus
