Harambee Stars: Where to Watch Kenya vs. Burundi & Ivory Coast in 2026 World Cup Qualifiers

Harambee Stars supporters will have the chance to watch their national team in action against Burundi and Ivory Coast, dispelling earlier fears that they would be left without coverage.

Kenyans can catch the Harambee Stars live on TV during their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Burundi and Ivory Coast. The national broadcaster, KBC TV, has secured the free-to-air rights and will broadcast the matches live from the Bing National Stadium in Lilongwe, Malawi.

The Harambee Stars will face Burundi on June 7 and then take on African champions Ivory Coast four days later. Both matches will be played in Malawi since Kenya currently does not have an approved stadium.

This development comes as a relief to Kenyan fans, who were concerned they would miss out on the action due to delays in securing the broadcast rights, even though an agreement had been made in February.

Since the country’s nine-month FIFA ban was lifted in November 2022, the Harambee Stars have only played one home match, a friendly against South Sudan at Kasarani last September.

Despite the ban, Kenyans were still able to watch all away matches through various platforms. This will continue with KBC, which also broadcast Kenya’s two matches at the Four Nations tournament in Malawi in March.

Currently, Harambee Stars are third in Group F with three points from two matches, level with Burundi. Ivory Coast tops the group with six points, the same as Gabon. Meanwhile, The Gambia, now coached by former Gor Mahia coach Johnathan McKinstry, and Seychelles have yet to record a point.
